Maura Guaderrama is an associate attorney with Greenberg, McGuinness, & Alt, LLC. She concentrates her practice in the areas of family law and criminal defense. Ms. Guaderrama is both an advocate and counselor for her clients.
Ms. Guaderrama grew up on the border of Texas and New Mexico, spending much of her time between El Paso and Las Cruces. She graduated from New Mexico State University with a B.A. in Philosophy and a minor in Political Theory with University Honors in 2016. Ms. Guaderrama earned her J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School in 2020.
Initially trained as a zealous trial attorney, Ms. Guaderrama spent nearly three years of her legal career as a public defender. During that time, Ms. Guaderrama represented the accused in a wide range of criminal cases, including domestic violence, driving under the influence, assault, harassment, drug possession, and violations of a protection order from the first stages of proceedings all the way through trial. The skills Ms. Guaderrama acquired as a public defender directly translate to her representation of clients going through a family law case. Ms. Guaderrama handles domestic relations cases ranging from financial disputes to difficult child custody matters. Ms. Guaderrama makes it her highest priority to passionately advocate for her clients both in and out of the courtroom, while also striving for an amicable resolution whenever possible.
Ms. Guaderrama is a member of the Southwest Colorado Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association, and the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar. She is admitted to practice in the states of Colorado and New Mexico, as well as the Southern Ute Tribe.
Outside of her practice, Ms. Guaderrama enjoys coaching and competing in CrossFit, riding horses, travelling, scuba diving, and spending time with her husband and two dogs.
